About Me
Chris Lesch, born June 21, 1953, in Gdańsk, studied singing and acting at the Musical Theatre in Gdynia from 1973. He graduated from the Łódź Film Academy in 1979, earning a Master of Arts degree with distinction. His first engagement was at the Nowy Theatre in Łódź, after which he became a member of the Rampa Theatre in Warsaw. In 1988, he moved to Germany, where he made his debut at the National Opera in Stuttgart. Chris was a regular member of the Kammerspiele in Hamburg under the direction of Stefan Barbarino, as well as at the Theater Die Tonne in Reutlingen, the Tri-Bühne Theatre in Stuttgart, and the Lokstoff Theatre. In Hamburg, he appeared alongside renowned klezmer musician Giora Feidmann in "Madness and Hope," and in Stuttgart, he played Chagal in Roman Polanski's "Dance of the Vampires." He has also appeared on German television, including "Tatort Tirol," "Tatort München," "Küstenwache," "Im Angesicht des Verbrechens," and "Masuren Krimi." He gave a sensational performance as Papkin in Aleksander Fredro's "Zemsta" (Revenge) at the Nowy Theatre in Słupsk in 2008.
